The Greenville Higher Education Center hosted the spring presentation ceremony of the Riverside Elementary Enriched Classes this morning. Mark DiBiase pictured with Dr. Mary Ann Brocato pose before the ceremony. Over 125 students from grades 3 through 6 were present to receive their completion certificates.
These students participated in a computer technology class taught by Mark DiBiase of Infinite Concepts in Greenville. Storybook video presentations that were students' fall projects were seen for the parents, faculty and friends. Following that, Peggy Snipes, Art Instructor for the Enriched Program, displayed numerous works of art that the students drew from tissue art to watercolors of Walter Anderson and Wyatt Waters.
Over 250 attended the event. This presentation ceremony is part of the King's Daughters and Sons Circle No. 2 Grant that the GHEC received in August of 2010. Margaret Karr, Noncredit Course Coordinator and grant recipient for the GHEC, commented that "this event was the highlight of the year for the students. |
